Medicare Teen Dental Plan
This plan allows eligible teenagers to have a free dental check up every year.
We think this is a wonderful initiative by the government, so we like to support it fully.
A standard "check up" usually includes an exam, clean and fluoride. Here at Lighthouse Beach Dental our desire is to be totally thorough for the Teen Dental Plan. In order to properly examine the molars for decay, we will regularly take X-rays . If it is obvious that your teen is not a good toothbrusher, we will give oral hygiene instruction using disclosing solution.
We are very happy to answer any questions that you may have about your childs' teeth, whether it be orthodontics, wisdom teeth or cosmetics. If you have any questions at all, please ask them during this appointment.
All treatments during this appointment will be performed by our dentist, Dr Tony Walker.
The medicare teen dental Scheme is working brilliantly. We are totally impressed by the improvement in the dental health of the teenagers in our practice. Unlike many government initiatives, this has excellent outcomes and is easy for us to administer, so we hope this scheme continues for many years.
We are accepting the Medicare distributed voucher now. Eligible teens aged 12-17 may be entitled to free preventative dental treatment once per year. To find out if you are eligible, please call Medicare.
